Miniature Painting Today: From India To London
Anrad Gallery presents five artists whose practices are shaped by the aesthetics of miniature art. Representing microcosms of larger realities, detailed narratives and intimate, meditative experiences, their works encourage a close and immersive viewing. Coded gestures, colours and spatial arrangements reveal philosophical, religious and worldly meanings, emphasised through the intricacy of brushwork, ornamentation and craftsmanship.

IN PRAISE OF IDENTITY
'In Praise of Identity' serves as a unifying platform for artistic communities in India, showcasing the country’s rich history through distinct art forms, often overshadowed by mass-produced imitations. The collection seeks to promote these ancestral art forms, bridging the gap for local artists to showcase their work to an international audience.
Nature's Mirror: An Exploration of the Natural World Viewed Through the Lens of Tradition
Nature's Mirror presents a contemporaneous exploration of varied vignettes of an agrarian life based on the incorporation of traditional visual vocabularies. The artists are drawn from the Gond, Madhubani and Kalamkari communities of India who interweave their individual visual interpretations of ancient belief systems which shape their understanding of man’s place in the natural world. The exhibition underscores the unity and universality presented by the diverse visual languages.
